Eric answered the phone and I described the problem to him. He was able to set up an appointment and give me a range of estimate on price based on what he anticipated. He came on time to look at the fridge and was able to study the noise and figure out the problem. He broke down the pricing for the part and labor (two payments) and I was able to pay via credit card (no transaction fees!) for the first payment. During this trip, I also had him take a look at my stove, which needed a new valve replaced. I was able to get the estimate for the work and paid the first half for the part. On his 2nd trip, he came to replace the faulty part for the fridge. He was able to do it quickly and told me to keep the old part for any future repairs. Eric came the next day and diagnosed a fan motor that needed replacing. The part took a while to arrive because (as Eric explained) they are now made by Daewoo and after replacing that, he realized the circuit board was also fried. Eric ordered that part, but because Kenmore is weird, it didn’t fit…so he ordered another board, and Jerry came back when it arrived and fixed the fridge! The point is, even though I didn’t have refrigeration for 2.5 weeks, Eric kept working on it without extra costs until he figured it out!
